How to use USB Disk Pro V2.65 to Make a Secure Capable Partion?

The USB Disk Pro Security Application V2.65 can be downloaded through our website at http://www.patriotmem.com/products/drivers/USB_Disk_Pro_v265.zip. Simply extract the application for usage. However, before you begin, it is strongly recommend that you back up the data that are in your Patriot Xporter Drive. Once extracted, double click on the application icon named "UDPv265.exe" with the Xporter plugged into the PC through a free USB port.

Once opened you should see the following dialog box:

In order to set make a partition or resize the partition, click on the button "Configure Size". Once you click on it, a warning message will appear warning you that all data will be destroyed. If you are certain, go ahead and click on the "OK" button.

Once the "OK" button is clicked you will see a different Dialog Box. There is a sliding bar in the middle that will allow you to adjust the size of the secure and public partition as seen in the picture below.

Slide the lever to the desired size for your secure partition. For demonstration purpose, we set the secure partition on our Xporter to about 1GB (1000MB).

Click on OK to start the process of creating and formatting the secure partition. Once it is done, it will ask you to unplug and re-plug the device to make it available for usage.

Once the device is plugged back into the USB port on your PC, you can check under "My Computer" to find two removable drives, one of which is the secure capable partition.

As you can see, both partitions are available and can be used. One of the partition is about 1GB and the other partition contains the rest of the storage space. You are done!!

If you would like to know how to password protect the security capable partition, please refer to our guide.
