Patriot Memory Announces New Secure Digital High Capacity Product Line
Fremont, California, USA, November 28, 2006 - Patriot Memory, a manufacturer of high performance memory module and flash memory solutions, announced that it will launch a new line of SD High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards. Patriot will release a Class 4 4GB and 8GB memory card as well as a Class 6 4GB card, which is the fastest speed rating under the new SD 2.0 specifications.
SDHC is the latest SD Association standard that sets new speed classifications (Class 2, 4, & 6) based on the guaranteed minimum sustained write speeds. High transfer rates are required for the current SDHC compatible devices that can handle high quality video recording. This new standard also delivers capacities beyond the current 2GB limit allowing users the flexibility to manage larger amounts of data which translates to more pictures, music, and video.
